Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst to support a public diplomacy office at the Department of State. The role focuses on strengthening data-informed operations through stakeholder coordination, data governance, analysis, visualization, and use of technology platforms.

The analyst will advise on and implement improvements to the client’s data policies, processes, and standards—identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities to enhance both current and future data architecture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant data governance/analytic experience.
Experience with data governance and analytics in government or similar environment.
Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI or similar visualization tools to develop dashboards.
Experience developing or customizing applications using Microsoft Power Apps.

Responsibilities

Support development and implementation of the client’s data strategy and governance plan.
Define data requirements and ensure storage, availability and coherence meet client needs.
Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources for analysis.
Collaborate with non-technical users to gather requirements and document data quality issues.
Build intuitive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for diverse users.
Develop tools and resources to support data and reporting needs.
Enhance automation and reporting tools using Power Platform to streamline workflows.
