Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to perform screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, quality control, image labeling, and timely transmission to PACS, while adhering to MQSA and ACR guidelines. Leadership in absence of supervision and staff training are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate; AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of five years as a radiological technologist.
  • New York State License (L.R.T.).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Mammography Registered or Eligible (ARRT-M).

Responsibilities

  • Performs Mammographic procedures including screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic.
  • Applies technical judgment to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
  • Operates digital imaging equipment per MQSA/ACR guidelines.
  • Positions patients and provides education on procedures.
  • Ensures all radiographs are correctly labeled and transmitted to PACS.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual QC functions for MQSA & ACR compliance.
  • Maintains records and assists in staff training and supervision in the supervisor's absence.
