Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Senior Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care in the Diagnostic Imaging department. The position emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and compliance with QA processes, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Two years' experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R Certification.

Responsibilities

• Strong patient care behaviors.
• Provide staff training, education, guidance, and clinical support to other mammography technologists.
• Strong working relationship with the referring surgeon's staff.
• Assists with managing patient flow and has a strong knowledge of patient scheduling.
• Proficiently performs advanced mammographic procedures, with little supervision.
• Preps and reviews cases for pre-procedure planning.
• Protocol the exams with the radiologist.
• Meets federal guidelines by performing daily and weekly QA for the imaging equipment and specimen imager.
