You will publish analyses and tools publicly, contribute to Elastic Security Labs, and collaborate with teams across the security organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional malware reverse engineering and adversary research across PE/ELF/Mach-O.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling; ability to read C/C++ and adapt to Rust/Go/NodeJS as needed.
• Experience writing scalable detection signatures and abuse-focused tooling.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer novel malware across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Analyze data from millions of endpoints to contextualize threats.
• Develop signatures and scale automation for future investigations.
• Publish research artifacts and tools publicly to Elastic Security Labs and GitHub.
• Collaborate with other Elastic Security teams on threat intelligence projects.
• Lead investigations and mentor junior researchers.
