Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Security Research Engineer to lead defenses in Elastic Defend across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will research attacker techniques, implement protections, and extend endpoint visibility at scale.

You will write high-performance C/C++ and Python, analyze telemetry, and mentor engineers in a distributed team. Join us to advance security and publish research at conferences and in open source projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security research experience analyzing attacker TTPs and building detection methods.

Responsibilities

• Research attacker techniques and turn them into protections.
• Extend endpoint visibility across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Develop production code that runs on millions of endpoints.
• Reverse engineer malware and study evasion.
• Own efficacy end to end with telemetry review and mitigations.
• Extend protection parity across platforms.
• Collaborate across Elastic Security and mentor engineers.
• Publish and present research.
