Job summary

Invictus International Consulting, LLC seeks a Senior Malware Analyst to support national security missions at Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on malware reverse engineering and threat analysis to strengthen resilience against sophisticated threats.

You will develop custom scripts, collaborate with the SOC, and deliver training and analytical reports while staying current on threats and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks. Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5+ years in malware reverse engineering.
• Proficiency with RE tools: IDA Pro, Ghidra, OllyDbg, x64dbg.
• Programming in C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
• Strong OS, networking, and software exploitation knowledge.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Experience with threat intel and incident response practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex ideas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth malware reverse engineering, including sample analysis and purpose identification.
• Use static/dynamic analysis, debugging, and disassembly to dissect malware samples.
• Develop scripts/tools to automate and streamline reverse engineering workflows.
• Understand techniques used by threat actors, including zero-days and APTs.
• Collaborate with SOC to develop countermeasures like IDS rules and signatures.
• Provide guidance to SOC members and assist with incident response efforts.
• Create training materials to enhance SOC malware reverse engineering skills.
• Stay updated on malware threats and industry trends and share findings.
• Contribute to threat intelligence by producing analytical reports.
• Liaise with law enforcement and information sharing groups to exchange threats and best practices.
