Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Malware Analyst to advance static and dynamic analysis using GHIDRA, FireEye, and Python. You will evaluate malicious code, prepare indicators of compromise, and propose mitigation and detection actions for critical mission systems at Fort Meade.

This role emphasizes investigative rigor and clear reporting. Required experience includes malware analysis, DoD 8570 compliance, and diverse scripting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of demonstrated experience with tools such as GHIDRA, SYSInternals, FireEye AX, or similar technologies.
• One (1) year of demonstrated experience with development of code in languages such as Python, Lua, C/C++, Ruby or similar.
• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity.
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with malware analysis.
• Requires DoD 8570 compliance with CSSP Analyst baseline certification, IAT Level I or II certification, and CE certification
• Requires GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) or Certified Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) certificate.
• Requires successful completion of the Splunk software training course "Fundamentals 1".

Responsabilités

• Conduct both dynamic and static analysis of suspicious code to establish malicious capability and impact.
• Monitor host and network activity for malware execution and propagation.
• Analyze captured data to identify intrusion-related artifacts.
• Understand OS exploitation vectors.
• Use tools and scripting to analyze malware and create reports.
• Support 24/7 monitoring of malware threats.
• Document vulnerabilities and exploits in written reports.
• Communicate findings clearly and timely.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Create malware signatures and detection rules.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to uncover new threats and mitigation techniques.
• Evaluate emerging threats.
