Malware Analyst – OPS Consulting, LLC – Annapolis Junction, MD

OPS Consulting is a nationally recognized technology and security solutions firm headquartered in Hanover, MD, with over two decades of experience delivering mission‑critical operations for federal, state, and local partners. We focus on empowering clients, protecting communities, and providing a collaborative environment for our employees.

We are looking for an experienced Malware Analyst to support clients by analyzing malicious code, producing technical reports, and recommending mitigation and detection actions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth analyses of malicious code to produce concise technical reports and indicators of compromise.
• Recommend mitigation and detection actions based on analysis findings.
• Continuously improve current malware analysis techniques and establish best practices.
• Research and train staff on emerging malware threats.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity.
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with malware analysis.
• Two (2) years of experience using tools such as GHIDRA, SYSInternals, FireEye AX, or similar.
• One (1) year of development experience in languages such as Python, Lua, C/C++, or Ruby.
• DoD 8570 compliance with CSSP Analyst baseline certification.
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or III certification.
• Successful completion of SPLUNK Fundamentals 1.
• GIAC, GCFA, or GREM certification.
• U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 – $290,004.00
