Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC seeks a Malware Analyst to support customers in solving complex threats by analyzing malicious code. You will perform dynamic and static analyses, produce technical reports, and suggest mitigations while improving malware identification practices.

Responsibilities include analyzing data artifacts, developing detection signatures, and collaborating with partners to counter emerging threats. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated experience with tools such as GHIDRA, SYSInternals, FireEye AX, or similar technologies.
• One year of demonstrated experience with development of code in languages such as Python, Lua, C/C++, Ruby or similar.
• Five years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity.
• Three years of demonstrated experience with malware analysis.
• Requires DoD 8570 compliance with CSSP Analyst baseline certification, IAT Level I or II, and CE certification.
• Requires GIAC GCFA or GREM certificate.
• Requires completion of Splunk Fundamentals 1 training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dynamic and static analysis of suspicious code to determine malicious capability and impact.
• Monitor hosts and networks to analyze malware execution and propagation methods.
• Analyze captured data (logs, network traffic) to identify intrusion artifacts.
• Develop malware analysis reports and recommended mitigations.
• Create and update malware detection signatures and rules.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify new threats and mitigation techniques.
• Provide timely and clear written and verbal findings.
