Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) in Pomona, CA seeks a Senior Specialist, Major Projects - Construction Project Management Support to drive planning, scheduling, documentation, and execution across cross-functional teams.

You will support project managers, manage action items, and ensure data integrity in project systems while coordinating with licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction staff. Hybrid work arrangement with California residency required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of project support experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• PMP and/or CAPM certifications preferred.
• Experience with large capital utility construction projects.
• Strong coordination, meeting facilitation, stakeholder communication, and action item management skills.
• Advanced reporting, schedule, cost, and project controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-construction and construction planning; supervise action items and guide project teams.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams (30+ members).
• Assist the project manager with progress reports, schedules, budgets, and metrics; provide status to leadership.
• Apply project management methodologies to adapt to changing priorities.
• Establish procedures and directives to ensure policy compliance; maintain documents and version control.
• Use MS Project and other tools to manage complex project schedules and change management.
• Develop presentations and documentation for management and executive review.
• Independently manage select project activities for complex projects with tight deadlines.
• Protect sensitive information and adhere to data security standards.
