Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Principal Gifts Manager to lead WUNC Radio’s major gifts, planned giving programs and capital campaigns, while supervising the Grants and Major Gifts Officer. You will develop cultivation and stewardship plans to meet fundraising goals.

You will work as a senior leader, building strong relationships with major prospects and donors to secure gifts and provide strategic guidance to the development team in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, with preference given for fundraising management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead WUNC’s major gifts, planned giving programs, capital campaigns, and supervise Grants and Major Gifts Officer.
• Develop cultivation and stewardship plans to meet fundraising goals.
• Serve as a senior leader and strategic partner responsible for raising major and planned gifts.
