Ann-Arbor-Area-Community-Foundation seeks a Philanthropic Advisor – Major Gifts to cultivate and secure transformative gifts and manage non-cash contributions. You will provide expertise in gift acceptance and compliance while building strong donor relationships.

This role supervises the Event Planner and partners with staff across committees to advance the Foundation’s mission. Ideal candidates have a track record in major gifts, experience with high-net-worth donors, and a solid background in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years nonprofit fundraising with major gifts experience.
• Experience with high-net-worth donors and complex gift structures.
• Knowledge of non-cash gift valuation, IRS compliance, and gift vehicles.
• Experience or knowledge of planned giving.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts from individuals, families, and corporations.
• Draft fund agreements and ensure compliance with gift acceptance policies.
• Develop tactics to engage major donors and manage donor relations.
• Oversee events and donor recognition activities.
• Coordinate with staff to deliver donor communications and reports.
• Supervise the Event Planner and support committees.
