Qualifications

• At least 5 years of directly related philanthropy experience, with focus on major/principal gifts.
• History of securing five- and six-figure gift commitments.
• Experience in a comprehensive fundraising program.
• Advanced skill in major gift strategy, including multi-year cultivation/solicitation planning.
• Knowledge of planned giving vehicles and donor-advisor coordination.
• Comfort working with board members, senior leadership, and volunteers on cultivation and asks.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of 80–120 major and planned gift donors and prospects.
• Scripts tailored, multi-year solicitation strategies and involves senior leadership as needed.
• Acts as ambassador with fluency in conservation work and campaign priorities.
• Leads prospect identification and qualification using Salesforce and wealth-screening tools.
• Maintains records in Salesforce with dossiers, reports, and activity tracking.
• Develops donor engagement experiences and coordinates with hosts for events.
