Job summary

The Senior Development Associate at University of Hawai‘i Foundation focuses on identifying, engaging and soliciting leadership annual and major gifts to support UH Mānoa Athletics. This position closes gifts and cultivates donors to foster mutually beneficial relationships and ongoing support.

Reporting to the Director of Development, UH Mānoa, the role emphasizes portfolio management, prospect strategy, and cross-team collaboration to meet fundraising goals and strengthen donor engagement

Qualifications

• Experience in non-profit organizations, especially alumni, development, education, or membership settings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop major gift strategies and close gifts.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Responsibilities

• Build and actively manage a portfolio of 35-40 leadership annual and major gift prospects.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors with a focus on major gifts of $25,000 and above.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify new prospects and cultivate donors.
• Meet annual and campaign goals related to visits, solicitations, and gifts raised.
• Coordinate donor stewardship efforts and annual giving initiatives.
