Job summary

The UConn Foundation is seeking a Senior Director of Development to advance a comprehensive athletics fundraising program. This role leads donor engagement, collaborates with athletics leadership, and drives major gifts and solicitations in alignment with the Foundation’s strategic plan.

The position focuses on women’s programs and requires strong leadership, donor relations, and the ability to work across University partners to expand the major gift pipeline and secure multi-million-dollar

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of major gift fundraising experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with the capacity to give $500k+.
• Secure $4M+ annually in philanthropic support for UConn Athletics.
• Meet or exceed fundraising performance metrics related to prospect qualification, donor visits, solicitations, proposals submitted, and dollars raised.
• Responsible for fundraising activities for assigned sports, with a focus on women’s programs.
• Collaborate with donors, volunteers, and University leaders to identify new prospects.
