Job summary

INFICON is seeking a maintenance technician to independently manage routine and some advanced tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will maintain coating manufacturing equipment, log activities, and coordinate with engineering and facilities teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, proficiency with mechanical tools and electronic test equipment, strong record-keeping, and strict adherence to safety, with capability to lift up to 50 lbs weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance technician experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with mechanical tools and electronic test equipment.
• Highly organized with accurate record-keeping.
• Experience handling hazardous materials and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PM schedules with engineering and materials supervisor.
• Assist in other areas of facilities as required with facilities supervisor.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on vacuum deposition systems.
• Replace coating components and other critical parts.
• Disassemble reactor chambers and manage refurbishment process.
• Inspect and document equipment condition before and after maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling coating precursors.
• Follow vacuum technology and cleanroom best practices.
• Respond to tool-related emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with process engineers, operations, and EHS teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM procedures and system reliability.
