Job summary

Sika in Aurora, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment, mechanical systems, and process machinery, performing repairs and diagnostics to keep production running smoothly. You will conduct preventive maintenance with proper lubrication, respond quickly to breakdowns, and coordinate repairs with operators and engineers for minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, electrical, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Experience coordinating with outside contractors for maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance safely per policies and codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, motors, drives, VFDs, I/O networks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process control equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance with proper lubrication.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with operations and team for repairs.
• Work with operators, maintenance personnel, engineers on troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
