Job summary

Custom Profile is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our employee-owned manufacturing team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will service and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform mechanical, electrical, controls, and preventive maintenance while supporting Zero Defects and on-time delivery goals in a cost-efficient manner.

Qualifications

• At least five years of maintenance experience.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related certs preferred but not required.
• Effective verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all other required safety rules.
• Identify and help resolve safety concerns.
• Repair, improve, upgrade, and install factory equipment in assigned areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders involving mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, facilities, and related systems.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Manufacturing team members to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Provide guidance and basic instruction to less-experienced personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
