Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for its Charlotte, NC facility. This senior role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, repair, and reliability for injection molding machines, robotics, automation, and facility systems.

The ideal candidate will diagnose complex failures and lead repairs to improve uptime and safety. The position requires extensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, with a track record of mentoring

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
Strong injection molding maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Technical training or certifications in maintenance are a plus.
Experience with hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, robotics, automation, and CMMS is strongly preferred.
Senior technician/lead/training experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of injection molding machines and related systems.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system issues.
Read and interpret hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, drives, sensors, and safety systems.
Lead or support root-cause analysis for major equipment issues.
Document work orders, repairs, parts used, and follow-up needs.
Mentor Tier I/II technicians and support maintenance improvements.
