Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and facility equipment to maintain continuous operations and a safe work environment.

You will read schematics, work with CNC/PLC controls, and use diagnostic tools while coordinating with hourly and salaried teams. This role requires extensive experience and a strong safety mindset, with flexibility for non-standard hours.

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing manufacturing and facility equipment.
Minimum of three years of formal technical training.
Electrical knowledge of DC and AC systems and industrial power distribution.
Experience with stamping presses and associated equipment (feeders, straighteners, de-reelers).
Knowledge of industrial electronics, including CNC machine controls and PLC or relay logic systems.

Responsibilities

Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to receive, document, and update work orders.
Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize production downtime.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
Participate in ongoing technical training and safety programs.
Perform duties outside machine repair, including housekeeping and lean initiatives.
