Job summary

Advantix Development Corp. in Evansville, IN is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks to improve and maintain the physical quality of assigned property.

The role includes diagnosing maintenance problems, making repairs, and providing emergency maintenance when required. The position requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades, with on-call duties and strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and four years of related maintenance experience.
• OSHA 30, HVAC, and CAMT certifications preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Possession of valid Indiana Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance work orders and repairs.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
• Ensures maintenance supplies are in stock and orders supplies as needed.
• Assists Maintenance Supervisor and/or Assistant Director of Facilities with scheduling and communicating with vendors/contractors.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural and appliances.
• Communicates with Maintenance Supervisor and residents regarding status of work and issues that arise.
• Performs property inspections and alerts Maintenance Supervisor of items requiring attention.
• On-call when scheduled and performs emergency maintenance work as required.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
