Job summary

Western Diversified Plastics in Mattawan, Michigan is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our injection molding lines running smoothly. You will troubleshoot machines, load systems, and robotic pickers, ensuring peak performance in a fast-paced automotive plastics environment.

Applicants should have 7+ years of machinery maintenance experience, electrical safety training, and proven ability to work with electrical and hydraulic diagrams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in machinery maintenance.
• Experience in an injection molding facility required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; electrical safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on injection molding machines, material loading systems, and traversing robots/sprue pickers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment such as grinders, temperature control units, dryers, conveyors, air compressors, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) on machines and equipment as required.
• Train and develop Preventative Maintenance Mechanics and Machine Mechanics.
• Complete paperwork and documentation related to maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Plant Management to schedule machine repairs efficiently.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
