Job summary

Perdue Farms, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team. You will apply advanced technical expertise to keep plant operations safe, reliable, and running at peak performance, while supporting continuous improvement and training opportunities.

The role offers a 2:00pm–11:00pm schedule and a $7,000 signing bonus payable in installments during the first year, with opportunities to expand skills through on‑the‑job learning and additional certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years' industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repair experience on mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding and rigging.
• Intermediate proficiency with PLC.
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill advancement.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Maintain QEW certification.
• Achieve Maintenance Tech III proficiency within 10 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly technically complex tasks with independence and occasional decision-making.
• Diagnose and repair complex machinery; conduct preventive maintenance.
• Provide operators with support on machine reliability; collaborate with teams.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly; report unusual or hazardous conditions.
• Follow safety standards and quality protocols to exceed production standards.
• Learn and observe safety precautions required by Perdue.
• Minimize exposure to chemicals, dust, and hazards with proper PPE.
• Maintain work records and prepare reports.
• Work all required schedules.
