Job summary

Stonhard in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support manufacturing operations with a senior hands-on approach. You will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and mentoring Maintenance Technician I staff across batch, mixing, material handling, and packaging systems.

You will help drive a planned, reliability-focused maintenance culture and will document activities in the CMMS while coordinating with outside contractors as

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, and basic blueprints.
• Working knowledge of motors, gear reducers, bearings, belts, chains, and drives.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment including mixers, batch systems, hoppers, augers, packaging equipment.
• Perform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic controls issues.
• Perform welding and fabrication as required (MIG/TIG/Stick).
• Mentor and support Technician I employees through hands-on coaching.
• Document work orders, PMs, and corrective actions in the CMMS.
• Coordinate and monitor work by outside contractors and service providers.
