Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot machinery and equipment to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
  • Repair defective machinery and equipment
  • Dismantle equipment and install new or repaired parts
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus including transformers and wiring
  • Repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Lay out, assemble, install and maintain piping systems
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related components
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities
  • Help ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed
  • Assist with training production employees on proper maintenance procedures
  • Support lockout‑tagout training and procedures
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal components
  • Repair and maintain facility structures
  • Initiate purchase requests for required parts and machines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to support industrial machinery, production equipment and facility maintenance operations.

This role is designed for an experienced maintenance professional with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose equipment problems, complete repairs, support preventive maintenance and help keep production machinery operating safely and reliably.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines.

This position requires hands‑on troubleshooting experience and the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems while supporting preventive maintenance and facility repair activities.

  • Regularly sit and use hands to handle or feel objects and equipment
