Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform advanced maintenance on park facilities, read technical manuals, and troubleshoot pumps, hydraulics, filtration, and electrical systems. The role requires a current CPO/AFO certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will support seasonal openings, conduct safety inspections, and provide guidance to staff while maintaining detailed records and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read measurements and math skills to calculate chemical dosing.
• Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification required.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, pool chemical controllers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related facility systems.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective action or escalation.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and training to less experienced employees.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; travel between park locations.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance Technician I duties at an advanced level of technical competency and independence.
• Conduct assigned daily safety inspections and ensure water chemistry is within CDC and local health department guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex or recurring failures involving pumps, motors, filtration, chemical controllers, plumbing, hydraulics, drainage, electrical components, and related facility systems.
• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturers’ manuals and guidelines.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment problems and recommend repair, replacement, or contractor support.
• Read and interpret manufacturer manuals, technical documentation, diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to Maintenance Technician I and Grounds & Facilities staff as assigned.
• Support equipment commissioning, seasonal opening, closing, winterization, and major maintenance projects.
• Identify required parts, tools, materials, and equipment and communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and Mobaro work orders, including recurring deficiencies and repair history.
