Job summary

ESFM, the corporate Integrated Facilities Management division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician in Seattle to perform skilled maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires leading a team, managing projects, and ensuring preventive maintenance compliance.

You will diagnose, repair, and service HVAC and related systems, read blueprints, coordinate with vendors, and participate in emergency repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Specialization in one trade evidenced by possession of an appropriate Journeyman's license.
• Must have one of the following licenses: Journeyman Electrical, EPA ACR Refrigerant, Journeyman Plumber, Carpentry, Welding, Steam & Pipefitting, Masonry or Electronic Instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills and repairs across multiple equipment types.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Leads a group of workers on a project.
• Teaches maintenance skills to other department members.
• Updates work statuses, timing, and costs using company tech systems.
• Oversees fleet maintenance support including welding, plumbing and vehicle operation.
