Job summary

J.M. Huber Corporation is seeking a Maintenance IV Technician for the Active Minerals International kaolin clay facility in Aiken, SC.

You will plan and execute preventative maintenance and troubleshoot high-speed production equipment to support business goals. The role requires 4–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs and VFDs, and CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience; AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, Variable Frequency Drives and PLC.
• Proficiency with computers and CMMS.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to complete projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust plant equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Record spare parts usage on work orders for re-order.
• Follow QMS procedures and ISO requirements.
