Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician at our Frisco, TX apartment community to perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance ensuring units and common areas meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in maintenance, EPA Type II or Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license. On-call rotation may apply; UDR offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certificate or degree in building trades preferred.
• 3–5 years in building and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
• HVAC knowledge and carpentry a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification.
• Chlorine, Fluorine, and Carbon (CFC) certification preferred.
• Some locations require pool operation certification (CPO).
• Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests for maintenance and repair within quality and time standards.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the community; address deficiencies and safety issues.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repairs and cleaning.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace; assist with stocking inventory.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Offer higher-level services for high-profile or multiple communities as needed.
• Provide additional services such as high-rise window cleaning or elevators where applicable.
• Assist in training and mentoring new Service Techs or Apprentices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
