Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to provide predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance for production facilities. You will work on electrical and mechanical systems, diagnose malfunctions, document work orders, and support safe, efficient operations across our plant and infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, an associates degree in a related field, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree preferred.
5+ years’ experience in maintenance.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure proper function.
Inspect equipment and identify defects.
Manage work orders, document work, and requisition parts/materials efficiently.
Communicate with machine operators and coordinate maintenance activities.
Determine equipment, tools, or materials needed to complete tasks.
Test faulty equipment and diagnose malfunctions using appropriate tools.
Work as a team member and coordinate with others.
Show advanced troubleshooting and repair abilities with minimal supervision.
