Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to provide predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance for production and infrastructure systems in our Dayton, TN facility. Join a 40-hour workweek environment and contribute to safe, efficient operations that keep our plants running smoothly.

This role requires diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems, proficiency with PLCs, and communication with operators.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper function.
• Inspect equipment and components to identify defects.
• Use computers to manage work orders, document maintenance, and requisition parts/materials.
• Coordinate with machine operators; diagnose malfunctions and verify system problems.
• Read technical documents including diagrams, drawings, schematics, or ladder logic diagrams.
• Utilize test equipment and PLCs to diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Maintain a clean workplace following 5S standards and follow safety policies.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
