Job summary

Community First Solutions in Mason, OH is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician II to support preventive and predictive maintenance across two facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform general building maintenance while training Junior staff and ensuring resident safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance experience, intermediate trade skills in plumbing/electrical/HVAC/carpentry, a valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronic issues.
• Repair PVC plumbing, toilets, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot switches, receptacles, ballasts, wiring, and other electrical components.
• Repair and replace equipment belts.
• Troubleshoot phone, TV, and other electronic issues in resident rooms and throughout the facility.
• Perform general carpentry and building maintenance.
• Travel between our two Mason facilities for projects and work orders.
• Operate power tools and maintenance equipment, including saws, blowers, snow blowers, salt spreaders, and other equipment.
• Manage and complete work orders using our work order system.
• Prioritize urgent and high-priority maintenance requests.
• Communicate equipment issues and facility concerns to supervisors.
• Provide respectful and professional customer service to residents and families.
• Assist Maintenance Technician I staff with work orders and troubleshooting.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, coworkers, contractors, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
