Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronic issues.
  • Repair PVC plumbing, toilets, fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot switches, receptacles, ballasts, wiring, and other electrical components.
  • Repair and replace equipment belts.
  • Troubleshoot phone, TV, and other electronic issues in resident rooms and throughout the facility.
  • Perform general carpentry and building maintenance.
  • Travel between our two Mason facilities for projects and work orders.
  • Operate power tools and maintenance equipment, including saws, blowers, snow blowers, salt spreaders, and other equipment.
  • Manage and complete work orders using our work order system.
  • Prioritize urgent and high-priority maintenance requests.
  • Communicate equipment issues and facility concerns to supervisors.
  • Provide respectful and professional customer service to residents and families.
  • Assist Maintenance Technician I staff with work orders and troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Maintenance Technician I staff.
  • Work cooperatively with residents, families, coworkers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Community First Solutions is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance operations at our two Mason facilities. This position is responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general building maintenance.

The ideal candidate has intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and carpentry, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Maintenance Technician II will also provide guidance and on-the-job training to Maintenance Technician I staff.

Location: Montage of Mason and The Cottage of Mason — supporting two facilities Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on professional experience Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance-related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, required vehicle liability insurance, and good driving record.
  • Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand operating manuals and blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including email.
  • Ability to use an iPhone and computerized work order system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment.
  • Must be willing to travel between our two Mason facilities.
  • Must be available 24/7 for facility emergencies and/or snow removal needs.
