Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of machine equipment in our Texas facility. You will minimize downtime, perform preventive maintenance, and lead safety and process improvements with the Engineering team.

The role requires experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, along with welding and fabrication capabilities. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 7+ years in manufacturing equipment repair.
• Fully capable of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machines.
• EMaint experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Able to weld, fabricate, repair, and install equipment.
• Able to learn, problem solve, and follow work instructions.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot numerically controlled machines with Engineering.
• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and systems (mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical).
• Diagnose malfunctions, disassemble, estimate repair time, source parts, reassemble, test, and release repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance: inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters, parts; lubricate machinery.
• Monitor safety standards and complete scheduled inspections.
• Maintain and repair the facility (utility, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, masonry).
• Assist installation of capital equipment and wiring; coordinate contracted work.
• Manage electronic asset management and maintenance records.
