Job summary

envista is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician at the Mahwah, NJ plant to diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will calibrate 5-axis CNC machines, lead root-cause analyses, and document actions in the CMMS to minimize downtime and sustain manufacturing continuity.

The role requires strong knowledge of CNC controls (FANUC/Heidenhain/Siemens), GMP/ISO awareness, and effective cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Engineering mechanics or electronics degree preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment controls (FANUC/Heidenhain/Siemens) preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems and GMP/ISO/SOP regulatory expectations.
• Strong problem-solving and preventive maintenance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related equipment.
• Perform geometry adjustments, calibration on 5-axis CNC machines, and precision alignments.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
• Document maintenance activities and investigations in CMMS.
• Lead equipment validation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Communicate critical equipment and maintenance information across shifts.
