Job summary

Mesa Labs, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve complex systems in its Bozeman, MT manufacturing facility. You will lead repairs, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires expert-level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, robotics, CNC machinery, and HVAC. Collaboration with engineering and operations is essential to success.

Qualifications

• High-level maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Ability to lead repairs and mentor junior technicians.
• Experience with predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Strong safety and OSHA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment failures on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and analytical methods to troubleshoot and repair critical production equipment, including PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, CNC machinery, and HVAC systems.
• Lead major repairs of high-priority equipment, ensuring minimal production downtime and long-term system reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all production equipment to maximize uptime.
• Implement predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to identify potential issues.
