Job summary

Skechers U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician III to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex automated warehouse systems. You will work on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment with emphasis on high-speed sortation, conveyors, and AS/RS.

The role requires independent problem solving, adherence to NFPA 70E safety standards, and the ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic tools. Experience with automation in distribution is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Experience: 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated material handling equipment.
• Safety: Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.
• Tools: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Hot work permit certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical failures on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs to the I/O level, including processor fault identification.
• Service and repair motor control panels, including starters, relays, and fuses.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair sensors, encoders, bar code readers, and VFDs.
• Wire and repair dual-voltage 3-phase motors with brakes and speed reducers.
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems.
