Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Paducah, KY. The role supports production equipment, systems, buildings, and utilities with a focus on automation and safety.

You will install, test, and service equipment, interface with CMMS for asset tracking, and work with the Maintenance Supervisor on various projects to ensure timely, proper completion. The ideal candidate has strong electrical/mechanical skills and experience with PLCs, HMIs, and drives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years working as a maintenance or service technician.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on automation controls equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly; 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to work at heights and obtain scissor/boom lift qualifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• 60-day training/qualifying period; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, adjust, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot operation systems and components.
• Interface with CMMS to track asset condition and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects to ensure proper, safe completion.
• Troubleshoot and operate plant automation systems (HMIs, VFDs, PLCs, motors, sensors).
• Demonstrate ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Be available for an on-call schedule including days, nights, and weekends.
