Jones Dairy Farm is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician on 1st or 2nd shift to lead advanced troubleshooting, drive reliability, and mentor technicians. You will partner with leadership to improve uptime and plant performance, and manage PM/PDM programs.

Candidates should have 5+ years in maintenance, expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical/mechanical systems, PLCs, and strong root-cause analysis. The role offers base pay plus shift bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance technician experience with troubleshooting and reliability.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor others.
• Proficiency with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems; PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting of complex equipment issues as the primary technical resource.
• Drive safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation and eliminate failure points.
• Ensure accurate CMMS documentation of PMs and corrective maintenance.
• Evaluate and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Mentor Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians with knowledge sharing.
• Partner with Project Manager, Planners, and Supervisors to prioritize work and plan shutdowns.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and assist in other plant maintenance areas.

Senior Maintenance Technician - 1st or 2nd shift

Base Pay of $35.55 (more based on experience)
+ $2.00 Shift Bonus + $2.00 shift differential (hours worked between 2pm-6am)

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for a Senior Maintenance Technician on 1st or 2nd shift. Position Summary:

Responsible for advanced troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and technical leadership within the maintenance team. This role leads reliability within assigned areas, leads root cause analysis, and drives improvements to preventative and predictive maintenance systems. Works closely with Maintenance Leadership to improve uptime, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead advanced troubleshooting of complex equipment issues and serve as the primary technical resource for difficult or recurring problems.
• Drive safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation through identification and elimination of failure points.
• Ensure accurate and detailed CMMS documentation of PMs and corrective maintenance.
• Evaluate and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase plant reliability.
• Mentor and support Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians by sharing technical knowledge, troubleshooting approaches, and best practices.
• Partner with the Project Manager, Planners, and Supervisors to prioritize work, plan shutdowns, and optimize labor and resources.
• Maintain and encourage proper housekeeping in all areas.
• Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels
• Must exemplify the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to lead troubleshooting efforts, work independently, and guide others in resolving equipment issues
• Excellent customer service skills such as problem solving, timeliness, and follow-up- required
• Previous experience- 5+ years in a Maintenance Technician Role, with demonstrated success in advanced troubleshooting and equipment reliability
• Proficient with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, PLCs, electronics, plumbing, welding, machine tools and schematic reading
• Proven ability to develop, optimize, and improve PM and PDM strategies
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and ability to apply solutions effectively in a fast-paced environment
