Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician installs, repairs, and maintains large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. Responsibilities include start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation and maintenance, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Reports to the Chief Engineer. Salary range: $39.38-$43.75 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Perform emergency repairs.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test, and adjust machinery.
• Seek continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate professionally with plant personnel.
• Follow safety rules and policies.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and manuals.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Follow instructions and perform additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Minimum three years of maintenance experience with machinery, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and boilers.
• Proficient with power and hand tools.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for 3-phase 230V systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Good communication skills in English, with ability to follow directions, perform basic math, and manage time effectively.
• Team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in quality work.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Relevant certifications, boiler license, or PLC experience may be required at some locations.

Physical and Environmental Conditions

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, working in confined areas, lifting up to 100 lbs, and moving equipment.
• Work environment includes indoor/outdoor industrial laundry facilities with machinery, temperature variations, noise, odors, dust, and humidity.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel for parts procurement.
