An established industry player is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation of its wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps and compressors. Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in LOTT facilities, including the wastewater treatment plant, remote pump stations and satellite treatment plants. The wastewater treatment system contains a wide variety of equipment, including pumps, compressors, blowers, generators, gear reducers, chain drives, pneumatic systems, HVAC units, and laboratory equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Working conditions will vary upon assignment. Senior Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to work throughout all LOTT facilities, including satellite treatment and reclamation plants and pump stations as well as the main treatment facility. There are hazardous work areas such as pits, underground vaults and other confined spaces and close proximity to heavy equipment. Senior Maintenance Technicians may operate potentially dangerous tools and equipment. Some duties may have potential exposure to toxic chemicals, gases, and/or raw sewage. Assignments may be outdoors, occasionally requiring work in inclement weather at dirty, wet, noisy, or cramped work sites. The work may involve strenuous manual labor, requiring physical dexterity and mechanical aptitude. Due to the size and design of LOTT facilities, the physical capability and sufficient mobility to navigate all types of surfaces and terrain including open grates, slippery surfaces, stairs, and uneven terrain is required.
Knowledge of:
Experience/Education: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in maintaining similar equipment and the ability to demonstrate skill in the areas listed above is required. Backflow Prevention Certification and Mainsaver training is preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid Driver’s License. Must participate in LOTT’s Health and Safety Program. A WABO Welder’s certification card and HVAC 608/609 is required within 1 year of hire.
