Job summary

Arcosa Lightweight in Livingston, AL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support a 24/7 aggregate plant. The role involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production equipment, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic systems, with emphasis on safety in a MSHA-regulated environment.

You’ll work with schematics and hand/power tools, join safety committees, and contribute to a safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to take apart machines and replace defective parts.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience performing routine maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and with a team.

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors and mechanical components.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May participate in safety committees or initiatives.

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and oversee contractors for repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Senior Maintenance Technician for our Livingston, AL plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Maintenance Technician, you will use schematics, small/power tools, perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic equipment.

Arcosa Specialty Materials is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Experience performing routine maintenance
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Work well with a team
