Arcosa Aggregates seeks a Senior Equipment Technician at our Lake Lynn, PA Quarry to lead a second shift crew and ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant. Responsibilities include directing production, inspecting equipment, and performing repairs to conveyors, screens, crushers, and other mobile plant assets.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to MSHA safety standards, a proactive maintenance mindset, and the ability to work in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of experience in aggregates or related field
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Fabrication and welding ability a plus
• Part 48 MSHA training a plus
• Maintenance background in crushing and screening

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on second shift directing duty and overseeing plant production
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Maintain and repair plant equipment according to company standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Pre-shift equipment checks for safety defects and report to supervisor
• Operate plant equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushers; learn to run crushing and screening equipment; operate loaders and haul trucks

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician based out of our Lake Lynn, PA Quarry to play a crucial role in supporting a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA Safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment according to company standards.

Day to Day

• Lead a crew of personnel on second shift directing a duty and overseeing plant production
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment according to company standards.
• Be involved with maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Pre-shift equipment for safety defects and report them to a supervisor.
• Work on plant equipment such as Conveyors, Screens, Crushers.
• Learn to run crushing and screening equipment along with mobile plant equipment such as loaders and haul trucks.
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Have a positive attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
• The ability to take directions from a supervisor.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• A maintenance background in crushing and screening
• Fabrication and welding ability is a plus.
• Part 48 MSHA training a plus
• 2-10 years of experience in aggregates or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
