Job summary

Arcosa Lightweight is seeking a Career Control/Process Operator for our Livingston plant on swing shift. You will set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machinery, monitor production, and maintain process parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders up to 60 ft.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty).
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, procedures and regulations.
• Provide guidance to less experienced operators.
• Monitor production flow.
• Maintain production via proper temperature and process speed.
• Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in continuous production.
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, temperatures, pressures, and related controls.
• Report malfunctions or abnormalities and perform minor repairs.
• Follow safety rules and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do:

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Provide guidance to less experienced operators
• Monitor production flow
• Maintain production through proper temperature, process speed, etc.
• Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications
• Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• Remove logs from cooler.
• On the job training.
• Operating front end loader.
• Operate bobcat.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
