Job summary

A leading engineering design company in Houston is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician who is skilled in troubleshooting and repairing PLC, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience and a minimum of a high school diploma. The role requires occasional travel and flexibility for weekend work. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment, with full benefits and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

5+ to 7 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting.
Ability to program and configure PLC and Electrical Control Systems.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Experience with maintenance in an Industrial/Manufacturing setting is required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Maintain, complete and correct schematics, bills of material and PLC programs.
Install new equipment including overhead crane operation and final power hook-ups.
Assist with new equipment installation including overhead crane operation, leveling, line up and final power hookups.
Adhere to Equipment Safety Procedures such as lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.

Job Description

Major building materials and engineering design company is in search of a Sr. Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.

Thorough knowledge of Equipment Safety Procedure such as lock out and tag out, and proper usage of PPE is important.
Minimum of 3 years in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical Control Systems in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment is required.
Capability of programming and configuring PLC and Electrical Control Systems is a must.
Ability to maintain, complete and correct schematics, bills of material and PLC programs.
Experience in new equipment installation consisting of overhead crane operation to unload equipment, leveling, line up and final power hook ups is a must.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007 is a plus.
Flexibility to travel up to 60 percent of the year with weekend work as a standard part of schedule is a required.
