Job summary

DESOTEC is seeking a dedicated maintenance professional in the United States to perform cross-disciplinary maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and facilities. You will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA systems, support preventive maintenance, and mentor maintenance staff while ensuring environmental, safety, and ergonomic compliance.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance operations in the Plant Manager's absence, responding to downtime, and driving continuous improvement through KPIs and cost

Qualifications

• Advanced technical expertise across multiple maintenance disciplines.
• Experience enabling equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and share technical knowledge with operations and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain accurate records and support maintenance KPI tracking.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and ergonomic programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair across electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and facility maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment, facility, and production system issues using lean principles such as PDCA and Root Cause Analysis.
• Support and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Maintain, repair, and improve plant equipment, grounds, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, wire motors, install electrical cable, and repair electronic equipment.
• Perform modifications and updates within the SCADA control system.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex PLC and SCADA-controlled equipment.
• Evaluate equipment, materials, and maintenance processes and recommend improvements.
• Monitor and update maintenance KPIs.
• Develop and follow maintenance programs for equipment and facility performance.
• Assist and mentor production and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomic programs.
• Lead maintenance operations in the absence of the Plant Manager.
• Respond to plant downtime, equipment failures, and emergencies outside normal hours.
• Manage maintenance resources and cost-control initiatives.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
