Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced facilities maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair on complex building systems, monitor utilities, and operate building automation systems.

You will read blueprints, work with safety standards, and participate in on-call rotations with 24/7 coverage; travel may be required. This role offers full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical skills in facility maintenance with minimal oversight.
• Clear written and verbal communication required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, BAS, and Pneumatic Tube Systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems.
• Diagnoses and fixes issues in Utility and Infrastructure Systems.
• Installs/maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems.
• Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment and building automation systems.
• Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
• Reads blueprints and Life Safety drawings for task accuracy.
