Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support our Jefferson at Marina del Rey and Tierra del Rey communities in California. You’ll perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks to keep homes rent-ready and communities well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in the multi-family or hospitality industry.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• Knowledge of HVAC and carpentry is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and on-call responsibility required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of the community and report safety issues.
• Respond to resident requests and repair services within set standards.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy with basic repairs and cleaning.
• Maintain tools and equipment; assist with inventory and supplies.
• Assist with vendor management and budgeting of inventory.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and improve happiness.
• Lead the service team in absence of a Maintenance Manager.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior technicians/apprentices.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• On-call rotation after hours is required.
