Job summary

Novolex in Kinston, NC is seeking a Maintenance Specialist II to repair, troubleshoot and service thermoforming equipment and related systems. You will read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints and perform preventive maintenance on machinery.

This role requires 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and welding tasks; shift options include 2nd and 3rd with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing.
• Must be able to read blueprints with comprehension and apply math functions.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical).
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and basic controls (VFDs/PLC).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Rebuild machine parts and install as needed.
• Set up and install new equipment.
• Ensure all equipment runs smoothly during shift.
• Read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic blueprints and sketches.
