Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for our Chicago, IL facility. The role focuses on high-level mechanical, electrical, thermal, and fluid power maintenance on specialized production equipment in a rubber molding environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), and the ability to read schematics. This is a day shift, onsite, full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in rubber molding or heavy industrial manufacturing.
Technical trade school degree, vocational certification, or formal mechanical/electrical apprenticeship preferred.
Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic layouts.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair high-pressure hydraulic molding presses and related components.
Diagnose PLC-controlled systems up to 480V and read ladder logic.
Inspect and repair steam boiler lines, heating platens, temperature controllers, and cooling circuits.
Lead major machinery overhauls including bearings, gearboxes, and drive shafts.
Adhere to safety procedures and mentor junior technicians.
